Arles is famous for its many Roman monuments including the arena, which hosts several famous festivals during the year. The Musée Arlaten was founded by Fréderic Mistral a hundred years ago and documents Provence history. In season, there are many performances including opera in the antique theater, music in small clubs and many art galleries. The regular outdoor market is lively and colorful, and there is an excellent selection of both elegant and simple restaurants. And with a car, this location gives easy access to the Camargue with its broad sandy beaches, tall grasses, white horses and flamingoes. Nearby are many charming villages including the famous perched Les Baux, St. Remy, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence to name a few.
US$1340-1567 Sleeps 2-6; quaint luxury in artist town The origins of this lovely townhouse date from Roman times with the entire house completed in the 14th century! The townhouse has been entirely restored and decorated with an eye to charm and authenticity, using Provencal colors and antiques. The living room/dining room is on the ground floor with exposed stone walls, high ceilings, French doors, and the original stone floor. A comfortable sofa opens to a queen bed. The kitchenette, best for breakfast and snacks, is in a niche with a 2-burner stove, combination oven/microwave, and small refrigerator, with a dining table and seating for 4. B asement area is a large refrigerator/freezer, laundry facilities, guest sink and toilet. From the entry level, stone stairs lead upstairs to the second and third floors with two master bedrooms. Each has a queen bed in an antique four-poster frame, large windows, and open bath area with claw-foot bathtub, sink and separate, enclosed toilet. Both rooms have exposed beams, antique tile floors, stone walls, and elegant bed linens. There is air conditioning installed in all rooms except the basement which making it pleasant in summer months, in this beautiful and romantic townhouse.

DepositsA 50% deposit is due upon booking. A refundable Security/Damage deposit is required upon arrival on site (some at the time of final payment.) See invoice/request amount. Our agency has NO control over security deposits, as most are paid on site upon arrival (in cash and in local currency.) Taxes and final cleaning deposits, if not included in rental price, are to be paid on site in local currency.
Other fees
There is a $125 USD administration fee. All tourist taxes are to be paid on site. Due to the high incidences of fraud involving checks, cashier's checks and credit cards, we have changed our policy regarding funds. Clients are responsible for all currency exchange charges ($40 per wire transfers.)
Other policiesOnce the booking request is accepted by the owner, all funds MUST be received by wire transfer within 3 days of booking. There are no exceptions. Currency exchange rates change daily and may change between initial and final deposits. In some areas, owners or countries state travel insurance protection is REQUIRED. Personal cell phone use is desired by rental owners, since security deposit returns can take more than 60 days when waiting for phone bill charges, for which you are responsible.
