Southern Oregon is the home of the Mighty Rogue River, the Umpqua basin and the Wild-Scenic area that is sought after by fisherman, hunters, photographers and Film makers.
Area airport is Medford (MFR) and lodging can be found in White City, Oregon, Shady Cove, Oregon, where both vacation rentals and a lodge on the river are found. In 2009 there will be another area that has vacation rentals on the river as well out of Shady Cove on the way to famous Crater Lake National Bank on the banks of the Mighty Rogue.

Salmon and steelhead fishing on the Rogue River starts below Lost Creek Lake, above Trail (up in the mountains), then the river flows through Shady Cove and Grants Pass on it’s way to the coast and the Pacific Ocean at Gold Beach. This is also an excellent white water rafting area in the summer between Shady Cove, Gold Hill and the city of Rogue River.
Just bring your lunch. All tackle, gear and bait are provided. You will be drifting the river in a 17 foot heated drift boat, which will accommodate two people. Larger parties and families are welcome, other experienced guides are available.
Morning, evening and all day salmon or steelhead trips are available. Fishing trips should be booked well in advance to assure you your desired dates.
The Spring Salmon fishing on the upper Rogue River usually starts in the middle of May and the run lasts until the end of July.
The Fall Salmon run starts in August at the mouth of the Rogue at Gold Beach and runs through October. Also one can find good Fall Salmon runs on the Elk and Sixes Rivers near Port Orford in November and December.

No refunds if booked within 90 days of departure/arrival dates. Deposits are non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly suggested. A waiver must be on file prior to sending funds to Lodge Owners, Guides.
A 50% deposit is due upon booking. A refundable Security/Damage deposit is required upon arrival on site (some at the time of final payment.) See invoice/request amount. Our agency has NO control over security deposits, as most are paid on site upon arrival (in cash and in local currency.) Taxes and final cleaning deposits, if not included in rental price, are to be paid on site in local currency.
There is a $125 USD administration fee. All tourist taxes are to be paid on site. Due to the high incidences of fraud involving checks, cashier's checks and credit cards, we have changed our policy regarding funds. Clients are responsible for all currency exchange charges ($40 per wire transfers.)
Once the booking request is accepted by the owner, all funds MUST be received by wire transfer within 3 days of booking. There are no exceptions. Currency exchange rates change daily and may change between initial and final deposits. In some areas, owners or countries state travel insurance protection is REQUIRED. Personal cell phone use is desired and it should be noted that there are remote areas with little to no coverage.
